Promag H 500 | Hygienic Electromagnetic Flowmeter

Promag H 500 Hygienic Electromagnetic Flowmeter

Promag H 500 is a hygienic electromagnetic flowmeter configuration for conductive liquids in sanitary process applications. It is relevant where the flowmeter must be selected around hygienic connection requirements, cleanability, process documentation and the actual electrical or automation architecture—not simply around a generic flowmeter family name.

Hygienic process measurement considerations

For food, beverage, life-science and other sanitary liquid processes, the correct meter configuration depends on the medium, flow range, line size, required process connection, operating temperature and pressure, cleaning procedure, installation orientation and required approvals. A model family name alone is not sufficient to confirm a replacement or an equivalent configuration.

Information to prepare for quotation

  • Complete order code, serial number or nameplate photo for an existing instrument
  • Conductive medium, expected flow range, line size and process connection standard
  • Operating temperature, pressure, cleaning cycle and any hygienic documentation requirement
  • Required transmitter arrangement, power supply and analog or digital communication interface
  • Required accuracy, verification, calibration or application documentation
  • Installation location, quantity, destination country and required delivery timing

Replacement and configuration review

Before specifying a replacement, compare the sensor connection, liner and electrode materials, meter size, transmitter arrangement, outputs, communication interface and applicable approvals. This review helps distinguish a sanitary H configuration from other Promag 500 applications that may use different process connections or selection criteria.
