Deltabar FMD78 | Electronic Differential Pressure System

The Deltabar FMD78 is an electronic differential pressure system using two separate pressure transmitters connected via a digital bus, eliminating impulse lines and improving accuracy in level and flow measurement.

Deltabar FMD78 – Electronic Differential Pressure System

The Endress+Hauser Deltabar FMD78 replaces traditional differential pressure transmitters with two separate absolute or gauge pressure transmitters. The digital subtraction eliminates the errors caused by long impulse lines and provides higher accuracy.

Key Features

  • Two separate pressure transmitters (no impulse lines)
  • Digital differential pressure calculation
  • Measuring range: 0.5 mbar to 700 bar
  • Accuracy: ±0.05% of span
  • Process temperature: −40 to +400 °C
  • Eliminates errors from impulse line temperature effects
  • No filling fluid required
  • Output: 4–20 mA HART, PROFIBUS PA
  • SIL 2/3 capable
  • Suitable for steam, hot water, cryogenic applications

Applications

Level measurement in pressurized vessels, flow measurement via orifice plates, filter monitoring, steam drum level, cryogenic level measurement.
